As you can see, my name is Dan. I am a graphic designer/writer in North Texas and have been joyfully married to my wonderful beauty for 3 and a half years.

Writing is a passion of mine, a chance to share with you what ideas and visions roam through my imagination. I've been following Hollywood and its happenings for about a decade now and am very excited to be given this chance to add some flavor and wit to the sometimes mundane world.

I will be your guide as you traverse the rough terrain of Hollywood News. Whether it's celebrity weddings, engagements, breakups, who's starring in what movie or tv show, what sitcom is being put on the shelf or given a new life, etc. it will be reported here with humor, sarcasm, and sincerity.

LATEST BRITNEY NEWS: Her disastrous attempt at relaunching her music career early last year made headlines around the world. Now, Britney Spears is trying the comeback road again - this time with her movie career.

Spears is apparently being lined up to appear in director Tommy Parker's new film "Memoirs Of A Medicated Child" according to The New York Post.

Spears will play the girlfriend of a misdiagnosed mentally ill patient if she agrees to star in the film, she was allegedly chosen for the role by producers ahead of fellow actress Lindsay Lohan.

Parker says "As far as Britney's concerned, we're talking." Spears last appearance on the big screen was in 2002's bottomless-pit-of-a-movie "Crossroads".

When you see older movie star actors or actresses in action movies, it’s sometimes a let down to know that all of the stunts performed are most likely being performed by a stunt double, and that the established actor is just there for their name. Well, after conducting an interview with the Associated Press, the “Queen” herself, Helen Mirren, revealed, among other things, that she performed her own stunts in “National Treasure: Book of Secrets.”

After reading the interview, located here in all of its glory, I have come to truly respect Mrs. Mirren a lot more for her bravery and for her willingness to endure bumps and bruises for the sake of a movie targeted at a much different audience than that of “The Queen.”

BrandyThe Los Angeles city attorney's office said Friday it will not charge Brandy in a deadly December 2006 freeway crash.

Brandy was involved in a fatal accident in December 2006.

Spokesman Nick Velasquez said there is "insufficient evidence" for a jury to find the 28-year-old actress-singer guilty of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter beyond a reasonable doubt.

The decision runs counter to a recommendation from the California Highway Patrol that Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, be charged in the December 30, 2006, crash.

Bonham CarterTim Burton bought four pairs of biker boots for hollywood actress Helena Bonham Carter to celebrate the birth of their daughter.

The 49-year-old director bought every pair of lace-up boots in Helena's size from trendy shop Cop Copine, in north London's Hampstead area, to take to the hospital for his partner, who gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday night.

A source close to the couple told Britain's Daily Express newspaper, "Helena's not your typical diamonds girl so Tim thought she would appreciate a bit more thought and he knows how much she loves these black boots so he decided to buy her four pairs." (wetv.com)

Helena and Tim, who already have a four-year-old son Billy Ray, are famed for their oddball lifestyle, and live in separate wings of their London home.
