Hey guys, sorry for the delay in my celebrity news coverage. While I and others were reeling from the recent loss of Bernie Mac this past Saturday, Hollywood was hit yet again with another death. This time we lost music legend Isaac Hayes. Hayes was found dead at his home on Sunday, August 11. A family member said that the body of Hayes was found lying next to a treadmill. He was rushed to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis where he was pronunced dead. The cause of his death is not yet known, but doctors say it may have been from natural causes. The famous star and musician is best remembered for singing the theme song for the movie "Shaft." RIP!

Hey guys, here's some breaking entertainment news, that I am very sad to report.
 
Actor and comedian Bernie Mac, best know for his roles in "The Bernie Mac Show", "Ocean's Eleven," and most recently "The Transformers" has passed away. The famous movie star died from complications due to pneumonia after being hospitalized at a Chicago-area hospital on Saturday. News of his death was given to the media by his publicist Danica Smith. Today is truly a sad day for me and others as well. He was a very famous star and an overwhelmingly talented comic as well. RIP Mr. Mac.

So recently there was a lot of celebrity news coverage on a couple of big name movie stars such as Brad and Angelina who gave birth to some adorable little tykes. Well I decided that I would have a little gift giving session for the babies, Celebrity Style!!

So where does a famous movie star shop for baby gifts? Unlike the rest of us, you won't see them hanging around the Wal Mart or Target baby registry. Ok maybe there is one exception...Jamie Lynn is that you walking down the baby food and diaper isle at Wal Mart? Just kidding. I can't get enough of Wally World myself. So, this was all done in the name of fun, but I can't help but say that I can't see myself really paying that much for baby items! I understand that celebrities have the money and blah, blah, blah, but geez....almost $4000 for a darn crib! I'm with you and Wal Mart all the way Jamie Lynn. Tell me, if you had the money would you pay that much for baby gifts? I'm waiting to hear your thoughts.

Hollywood Celebrity Weddings



Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson tied the knot during a weekend ceremony on May 17, exchanging vows in front of 150 close friends and family. Ashlee wore an ivory gown by Monique Lhuillier and Pete wore a regular black tux ( do we really care what he wore? I mean really?). Of course the two gave People Magazine an exclusive on their wedding pictures.



So who's the latest actress to get married? ..much to the surprise to just about everyone, including me.  Jessica Alba's rep confirmed to People Magazine that the famous movie star and her baby daddy Cash Warren were married in a private ceremony on Wednesday. Good for her! I give it..One year. I'm being generous.



The biggest and probably the most controversial wedding news comes from Ellen DeGeneres. The talk show queen and announced on her show last Thursday that she and long time girlfriend Portia DeRossi will be getting married on the heels of California's new law allowing gay marriage. Of course as usual there are haters!  Ellen recently had senator McCain on her show and of course he disagrees on the idea of gay marriage. I say everyone has a right to their own opinions!



Another homosexual star taking advantage of being able to get married is former Star Trek actor George Takei. Yea i know, who knew! He and long time partner Brad Altman will be joining DeG eneres and countless others in same sex marriage ceremonies in California. Go Girl!



In engagement news, top movie star and Hollywood icon Robert Redford and his longtime girlfriend German artist, Sibylle Szaggars are engaged to be married. No word yet on when the nuptials will be.

And the winner is....through a landslide victory (20 million votes), David Cook won American Idol 2008, beating out his younger competitor David Archuleta. When asked about where he thinks his career will go, the soon to be star told People Magazine that he had "no expectations." He's definitely humble, let's see how long it lasts!



In other Idol news, former idol contestant Bo Bice and his wife Caroline are expecting a baby boy.

Movie Star Diet



The Queen of talk show land, Oprah Winfrey has announced that she will be trying a new diet plan. Winfrey has announced that she will be going vegan for 21 days straight. She got the idea to do the diet after reading Kathy Freston's book Quantum Wellness.

O.k so I'm not a gambling woman, but how many of you out there would like to place a little wager on the length of time Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon will stay married.



Here's the stats on this latest Hollywood celebrity wedding:

• The two apparently have been together a little under two months.

• They were married, on a Caribbean island in an impromptu wedding (yet to be, confirmed by the two.)

• This is Mariah's second wedding, and the first for Nick (he was engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks, but broke off the engagement. It seems that the ring he once gave to Selita is now on Mariah's finger...Wow!

So what do you guys think? In my opinion I don't see this lasting at all! Can you say publicity stunt? A non-famous movie/t.v star marries a famous singer/actress only after two months of happiness. Let's see,... how many top movie stars in Hollywood have gotten married after a couple months of knowing someone and gotten a divorce soon after? The list goes on and on. Some out there may disagree..but here's my wager: I GIVE IT ANOTHER MONTH!

UPDATE...I'm hearing rumblings that Mariah may be pregnant....I'll keep you guys posted. This definitely puts a spin on things. New wager: I GIVE IT 2 WEEKS!!

Last week there was some very interesting breaking entertainment news coming to come out of Hollywood, and overseas. One top movie star and a very, very famous singer (not Britney Spears) got into a bit of legal trouble. There was a headbutt in a bar and a tax evasion case that was celebrity news coverage du jour. Can you guess who the two famous stars are?

Lets start with suspect #1


Amy Winehouse was arrested last week by UK authorities on suspicion of assault. The singer spent the weekend in Jail for allegedly head butting a bar patron. In the words of Flavor-Flav...WahoooW! Here's where her luck comes in though. In the UK the sentence for simple assault is 6 months in prison! Winehouse walked away from this free as a bird...., a violent, drug abusing bird! Love her music though.

Suspect #2, get out of jail free card....not so much!

While Whinehouse sings a happy tune (literally), one famous movie star won't be singing any tunes or acting in any movies for a long time...2.5 years to be exact. Actor Wesley Snipes was convicted of tax evasion last week. Snipes apparently neglected to pay Uncle Sam $2.7 million. Huh? Come on Wesley, it's only $2.7 million, it's not like you have to pay $3 million! I bet you next time he'll be paying his taxes ON TIME! Here's what the judge had to say about the stars sentence:

 "Snipes' long prison sentence should send a loud and crystal clear message to all tax defiers that if they engage in similar tax defier conduct, they face joining him and his co-defendants ... as inmates in prison."
 
Better watch out tax defier's!!! Uncle Sam is watching you!

I'm kidding, but seriously, didn't that scare you guys just a little bit? I know I'm not gonna complain about paying any kind of taxes anymore. Even though his pal Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson wrote letters in his defense, Wesley still got the book thrown at him. OUCH!

People Magazie is reporting that Disney Channel and That's So Raven star, Orlando Brown has been missing since early Tuesday morning. It is being reported that the actor left his manager's house at around 10:20 a.m to go to the local 7-Eleven, and has not been seen since. Oh My! His family and manager are asking anyone to contact Elayne Rivers at TLToonz@aol.com if they have any information regarding his whereabouts. I hope they find him...I will update this as it develops....

It's officially, official, yet the happy couple hasn't made it official yet..confused? Well I'm talking about the ever so secretive Beyonce and Jay Z.  The town clerk of Scarsdale Town Hall has confirmed that Jay and Beyonce are in fact married. He has their signed marriage license to prove it. Now if only they would come out with some details.



Sister Sister star Tia Mowry got married this past Sunday to actor Cory Hardrict (Can't say I've ever heard of him before) at the Four Seasons Resort the Baltimore Santa Barbara. Yay!



O.k so this isn't happy wedding news, but guess what former "View" co-host/t.v entertainment news star has filed for divorce from their husband of almost 4 years?? It's not Rosie (sorry I had to go there!) Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband Al Reynolds, saying: "Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts." And continuing:
"I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman." Sucks for her.



And in more non celebrity wedding news, Kanye West has apparently broken off his engagement to Alexis Phifer. Here's what she said: "It's been hard and not been an easy time. I tried to keep things private but yes, it's sad when things end like this and we truly do remain friends. I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met, that's for sure."

How many of you out there are Hanna Montana/Miley Cyrus fans? I know my 4 year old daughter loves her. Well it seems as though a few compromising photos of the child movie star has made their way onto the internet. I know that she is 15, and teenagers do "play around", but I'm thinking she needs to be a little more careful on what kinds of photos she takes. Even though the photos have surfaced, no comment has been made by Miley or her management team, and it's business as usual. Besides being a mini mogul, Miley is going to be one of the latest Hollywood actresses to pen her own autobiography. O.k she's 15, what exactly is she going to write about? Chapter one: how not to take "adult" type photos and have them posted on the internet. Hopefully there won't be anymore photos.

So today is supposed to be the big day for Jay Z and Beyonce and boy are the celebrity rumor mills churning. It is being reported that Jay Z had a bachelor party in Toronto, just a day after he and Beyonce got their marriage license. It's also being reported that the two now have matching tattoos on their ring fingers (this one I don't believe).

What's the quickest way to loose weight? Take a photo of what you looked liked four years ago, and go around telling people that you're still actually that skinny despite what they see now. Not a good idea? well O.K Magazine thought it was. The magazine's latest cover story was about how Britney lost an amazing 15 lbs in just 4 weeks, with a photo of the famous star on the cover. The thing that they neglected to mention was that the photo was from 2003. Big Oops!!

Georgia law enforcement charged 17-year old boy Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr  with the murder of his mother and two sisters (one of which was the daughter of the rapper). J to the L-O has finally had her twins!! YAY! The Latina pop star and her husband Marc Anthony, welcomed their twins this morning at 12:12 a.m in a Long Island hospital. They were lucky enough to have a boy (5lbs 7ozs) and a girl (6lbs). Her manager released this statement to people magazine, "Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon."  Good for them! Next up Halle Berry.

Aaron Carter (little brother of Nick Carter) is the latest young celebrity to be busted for drugs on Thursday. Aaron currently sits in a Texas jail waiting to see the magistrate judge Friday morning. So what happened? Well basically the 20 year old was pulled over for speeding, and yup he was busted for having 2ozs of Mary Jane on him. In the words of Flavor Flav..."WAOOOOW!"



Angelina and Brad  finally finalized their adoption of Pax on Wednesday! Everything is now right with the world! O.K honestly, how much do you guys really care about knowing about every little thing that Brad and Angelina do? I mean it's a little annoying in my opinion. Oh and do you guys ever wonder what's up with Shiolh? I mean the very famous couple were photographed having a great family vacation at Mammoth Mountain ski resort the other day, but um...Shiloh wasn't there? What's up with that?

As those that read my blog know, two weeks ago I listed all of my boyfriends "J."  Well, I couldn't believe that I left off the most important boyfriend of all.  Yes, even JC isn't holding that title now.  I have since apologized to said boyfriend "J", and after a week spend making up we have mended our relationship and decided to take the next step.  That's right!  We're engaged! Time to start planning my huge Hollywood Wedding!  Any suggestions for my planner?

Let me introduce you to my boyfriend.  His name is James Franco.  He is not the most famous movie star (yet!), but is probably best known for his role as Harry in the Spiderman franchise.  You're probably wondering how we met.  Well, I have a 3 year old son who is obsessed with Spiderman.  He introduced us about three months ago.  For the last three months James and I have been seeing each other on a regular basis.  Sometimes two or three times in one day!  I call him Harry, since this is the capacity in which we met.  At first I resisted Harry.  I mean, let's face it, he's really not my type.  I typically do not go for guys who dress up in costume and ride sky-sticks.  But, after a few weeks I began to notice how attractive Harry is, even in costume!  I found my defenses starting to crumble.  Who was I to deny Harry is passion?  So, I began to look at him in a romantic light.  Even when he becomes disfigured each time we see each other again, I still was smitten.  True love is looking beyond a person's flaws and seeing the caring person within.  Yes, Harry has his demons.  Who doesn't have issues with their parents though?  We did take a break for a while I'll admit.  We needed to be sure of our blossoming feelings.  But you can't stop how you feel, and we soon found ourselves drawn back to each other on a nightly basis. 

So, after my unfortunate diss two weeks ago, we talked and Harry declared his intention to be with me for the rest of our lives.  (Or as long as my son continues to want him in our household.)  We will soon be planning our celebrity wedding.  I told him that I didn't care whether or not he showed up scarred or not.  (Personally, I would prefer not...) 

So there you have it.  My wonderful news!  As I begin planning my dream wedding, please keep up in your thoughts. Should I choose Vera Wang?  Badgley Mischa?  I'm so confused!   Who does a movie star run to when these things need handled?  Maybe Whose Wedding Is it Anyway will call me up!  (Fingers crossed!) Surely they can handle a flying Sky-Stick!

I was in bed Sunday night with my brain running a hundred different directions.  This always happens on Sunday night.  I have certain tricks I use that help me to just relax and get my mind to calm down.  One of these tricks is imagining my boyfriend, JC Chasez, singing softly to me and rubbing my back.  Don't laugh!  It works! 
Anyway, thinking of JC got me to thinking about other celebrities I think are cute.  I started thinking about how cute Jude Law is in The Holiday.  Then I started imagining Jake Gyllenhal dumping Reese to run off with me.  As I lay there dreaming about all of the cute guys I would love to just have lie down with me, I started noticing a trend.  A lot of the guy's names start with the letter J!  Which led me to make a list of my boyfriends "J."
Here in order of dreaminess (at least according to me) are my picks.  And just because most of these men are famous movie stars or famous singers, doesn't mean that they wouldn't love to meet a great girl like me.

1. JC Chasez - those of you who have read my blog know how I long to meet him and how we are secretly in love and planning to get married. (In my mind)

2. Jude Law - I know he's not for everyone, but I think he is absolutely delish.  I watch The Holiday many times just to swoon over him. 

3. Jonathan Knight - For those of you who are scratching your heads wondering who this is, he was in New Kids on the Block.  He was my favorite.  I had many pictures of him on my walls growing up, and one in particular that I kissed every morning and every night.  There are rumors going around that NKOTB are reuniting.  I am keeping my fingers crossed.

4. Jake Gyllenhall - As previously mentioned, I imagine Jake to be "a guy's guy." He seems so rugged and manly!  Plus, he seems to like kids.  That will come in handy when he meets my son.

5. John Stamos - That's right, Uncle Jessie.  I loved watching Full House when I was growing up.  And "Uncle Jessie" is one of those men who just gets better with age.  Yum!

6. Jerry O'Connell - I'm not chasing Rebecca Romain's men, I promise!  Jerry is not only HOT, but he's funny.  I love men with a sense of humor.  (not to mention great hair and a nice body)

7. Jason Lewis - You know, Samantha's boy-toy on Sex in the City.  He is the blonde Jake. He's got a great body and a great smile.  I just know we could make it work.

8. John Mayer - I know he gets quite the bad rap as a "Ladies Man", but who can resist a guy who sings?  Can you imagine waking up to him crooning softly every morning?  I imagine him writing songs for me and surprising me with serenades with his guitar.

And, I have one honorary "J."  His name does not begin with J, but it does begin with the J sound.  I have many numerous dreams about this man, most too naughty to write in a blog!

9. George Clooney - I do not know why I continue to dream about George, but I do.  We are usually doing things a lady wouldn't talk about in public.  But let me tell you, they're great.

So, there you have it.  My boyfriends "J."  Next on my list is to start planning our Hollywood Wedding!

As the news of Heath Ledger's passing come so quickly on the heels of Brad Renfro, I feel I must address the ongoing prescription drug problem that so many in Hollywood seem to have.  What's more disturbing is that there are doctors out there who are so willing to be associated with "celebrity" that they write these prescriptions.  Not that the celebrities themselves ever tell us about these doctors, let alone about the prescription drugs they are taking!  But I never suspected Heath of taking prescription drugs.  I'm sure a lot of drug abuse goes on in Hollywood.  As long as those doctors keep letting the fact that the person they are dealing with is famous and rich get in the way of ethics, we will continue to see more and more stars sprial out of control.

It all goes back to the whole "being famous" issue.  It's wrong for me to give you this prescription, but since you have money, I really don't see the harm in it.  Sounds logical doesn't it?  I'm saddened that Heath died from this.  But if he hadn't had so many of these drugs on hand, would he have died?  Mixing prescription drugs is a big no-no.  Any kind of drug, even those prescribed by a doctor, carry significant risks.  Even my birth control pills carry a risk! 

I adore celebrities.  I read everything I can about them.  I start my day by checking out celebrity magazine websites!  I buy People religiously every week!  But there are people in the community, policemen, judges,  and doctors especially, that need to take a step back and ask themselves "Why am I crossing this line?"  Stars don't have super powers!  We just want them to.

Since Heath Ledger's untimely death there has been a lot of speculation on what caused the famous actor's passing. Well here's an update on the situation.  Although it was reported that the star was suffering from pneumonia, that was ruled out as a cause of death. TMZ is reporting that there was more than five types of pills found at his apartment. Most of them were drugs that are used to treat anxiety and sleep disorders. No illegal drugs were found. On January 23, Heath's body was brought to a New York funeral chapel, where it is said that a viewing will take place.

In Other News:

Britney Spears showed up to court yesterday and bailed again. The once famous popstar was supposed to appear for an emergency hearing that she called asking for her visitation rights to be put back in place. I'm sure I don't have to tell you what the judge ruled. And just as we thought Britney and her photographer boyfriend were over, he appears on a popular entertainment news show where he tells of his plans to marry the singer. Um..sure, can't wait to see that Hollywood couple walk down the aisle. It's sure to be a famous wedding, just look at the way her first wedding was.



Anyway, Rapper Lil' Wayne is in some serious trouble. He was arrested in Arizona on Wednesday. His tour bus was pulled over and when authorities searched the bus, there was a lot of drugs, including cocaine and ecstasy found. His bail was set at $10,000.

The entertainment world has lost a fine actor.  Heath Ledger has passed away!! Yes folks, what a shocker, first Brad Renfro now Heath. The 28 year old "Brokeback Mountain Star" and ex-fiance of actress Michelle Williams (who he shares a two year old daughter with) is said to have had an accidental overdose. TMZ is reporting that the actor's lifeless body was found face down in his bathroom by the maid and a masseuse who had arrived for an appointment with the star. Rumors about where his death occured were rampant. There were reports that he died in an apartment owned by actress Mary Kate Olsen, but that has been denied by the NYPD.

Update: Heath's death may have been caused by a combination of prescription and over-the-counter sleeping pills. Though the real cause of death will not be determined for several weeks.   Warner Bros. issued this statement about the actor "The studio is stunned and devastated by this tragic news. The entertainment community has lost an enormous talent. Heath was a brilliant actor and an exceptional person. Our hearts go out to his family and friends." Heath will be playing the part of the Joker in the upcoming Batman movie, produced by the company.

As you know the 2008 Sundance Film Festival begins today and ChaCha will be the "Official Text Answer Service". The festival lineup has been announced, and 121 feature length films were selected out of the 3,624 that were submitted.  On-top of the fresh new faces that will be staring in the new movies, there are a lot of top celebrities who will be appearing in many of these movies as well.  We can expect to see a great number of stars gracing the festival this year. There will be many new actors and actresses who will be getting recognition for their roles in certain films this year.

What Celebrities will we see?



The first film set to open up the festival is  "In Bruges" starring Colin Ferrell and Ralph Finnes.  It is not even out yet and it is already generating tons of Hollywood buzz.  The first screening will be at 6:00p.m at the Eccles Theater.  Other films set to premiere that have some famous movie stars are:

•  "The Wackness" starring Mary Kate Olsen, Famke Janssen, Method Man and Ben Kingsley.

• "Be Kind Rewind" starring Jack Black, Mos Def and Danny Glover.

• "Bottle Shock" starring Bill Pullman, Eliza Dusku and Freddy Rodriguez.

That is just a start, other stars appearing in films include Winona Ryder, Sienna Miller, Felicity Huffman and Ray Romano to name a few more.

What should we expect at the Festival:

There will be major glitz and glamor, and plenty of parties. I will be keeping you guys updated on everything. What party's were the hottest, the latest hairstyles and fashion, Hollywood couples, and definitely photos and entertainment news coverage of all the events.  Where ever there's gossip your girl will be on it!

As I was watching the Entertainment News about Brad Renfro dying at only 25, I stopped to think about all of the troubles that celebrities have.  And not just in the last year or two.  Celebrities have always led troubled lives.  Just because they are famous and rich, doesn't mean that they aren't human.  They have personal struggles just like the rest of us.

The reason I'm writing about this is because I have often wondered what it would be like to be rich and famous.  Heck!  I'd settle for just rich these days!  Would that mean that all of the struggles I've encountered in my past and in my present would just never have happened?  If I'd had the money for a personal trainer and chef, would that mean the eating disorder I developed in college would never have happened?  Would my marriage have not failed? 

We all seem to think that money would buy us happiness.  Has money bought Britney happiness?  All of the money in the world couldn't save her from losing her mind and losing her babies.  Did money buy Brad Renfro happiness?  Far from it.  Money bought Brad Renfro drugs and alcohol that probably led to his death. 

I would love to have the money to pay off my student loans, buy a house, and drive a car with a bumper. (Long story involving a Walmart parking lot.) But would all of that money talk with me at night?  Would all of that money hug me and make me feel safe?  I think I would still have had the struggles that I've had, just with money. 
So perhaps the grass isn't always greener on the other side.  Would I trade places with a star?  In a heartbeat!  But who's to say my life would be any easier to manage and any easier to make sense of.
