It is being reported the funny man was driving his car along an East Hampton road when the brakes suddenly failed and his car flipped over. The comedian reportedly walked away from the scene with no injuries. He one lucky....

He's saying some really messed up things, for instance, he only started using cocaine because of Whitney....YEA RIGHT!!

So the other day I was talking about the 90210 reunion and I completely forgot to mention the reunion of all reunions.....The New Kids on the Block!! Wooo..yea! The NKOTB as they were called in the 90's are trying to make a comeback.  I can hear all the middle aged housewives screaming with pure joy! The group's website is a buzz with excitement and they have a countdown clock too. Fancy! I wonder if it's a countdown for how long they are going to last? I'm kidding! They made their official announcement on the Today Show this morning. Watch.

So today is supposed to be the big day for Jay Z and Beyonce and boy are the celebrity rumor mills churning. It is being reported that Jay Z had a bachelor party in Toronto, just a day after he and Beyonce got their marriage license. It's also being reported that the two now have matching tattoos on their ring fingers (this one I don't believe).

Celebrity Weight Loss Fads



What's the quickest way to loose weight? Take a photo of what you looked liked four years ago, and go around telling people that you're still actually that skinny despite what they see now. Not a good idea? well O.K Magazine thought it was. The magazine's latest cover story was about how Britney lost an amazing 15 lbs in just 4 weeks, with a photo of the famous star on the cover. The thing that they neglected to mention was that the photo was from 2003. Big Oops!!



So I can go talking about Britney without talking about her little sister Jamie Lynn. The soon to be mommy celebrated her 17th birthday recently. I'm sure you guys are wondering what she did. Well Ms. Spears and her baby daddy Casey Aldridge decided to hit up the local JCPennys for some birthday shopping. See.. celebrities can be just like us.

When hearing the name Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Tyra Banks, Scarlett Johanson, Sara Ramerez, Mariah Carey, Salma Hayek and Catherine Zeta-Jones what's the first thought that comes to mind? do you think of things like famous, beautiful, and well-rounded? well I do too but you know what words comes to my mind the most? CURVY, VOLOPTUOUS, HEALTHY...the list can go on and on.

With the holidays just ending most people now are focusing on the latest and quickest way to loose those holiday pounds that they may have put on.
Though I could write about the latest Hollywood weight loss fads and I'm sure I will eventually, I choose not to. I would like to pay homage to those ladies out there
who love the way their bodies look, and who are not the typical size zero.

Size Matters

Did you know that the average size for an American woman is a size 12, and not a size Zero like most people would like to believe (Victoria Beckham is a size zero).  Don't get me wrong, I'll be honest..I'm a size zero or one, and no I'm not unhealthy or emaciated. Though i'd love to be a larger size, having two kids has not helped in that department.  I think I've tried just about everything to actually GAIN weight, but due to my genetics (so I've been told) I've never weighed anything more than 120lbs.
I was told that for my height (five feet) that's actually quite normal...but I digress. I'm writing this piece to show everyone that you're beautiful just the way you are, whether you are a size 12 or 0, or any where in between.


From Past to Present




During the times of "old" Hollywood, actresses like Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelley, Ginger Rogers, Greta Garbo, Mae West, and Katherine Hepburn.  Graced the silverscreen with their presence. Many of these actresses were not the petite size we see today.





The latest Hollywood actress who dealt with the presure to be thin was the late B movie actress Anna Nicole Smith. A curvy actress who's battle with weight was often in the spotlight. Anna Nicole's weight at one point ballooned to 224lbs in 2002. Before her death she was the spokesperson for the weightloss company TripSpa, her weight ultimately went down to 140lbs. Personally I loved Anna pre TrimSpa. She looked an aweful lot like her idol Marilyn Monroe.


Standing Up to the Media

    


America Ferrera is a new actress who's made headlines for not just being on the t.v show "Ugly Betty", but for her weight. I don't gt it she's beautiful, she can act, what's the problem? Beyonce and Tyra Banks are two top rated celebrities who aren't afraid to show their bodies.  Beyonce and Tyra embrace their curvyness in order to show an example to young girls out there that haveing a little more meat on your bones is not all that bad. When an unflattering photo of Tyra was circulated on magazine covers all around the globe, she immediately confronted the media and went on her talk show to show the world that she was proud of her body. You go Tyra!


Enjoy Being You

In closing, I hope that 2008 can be a year of being healthy and looking your best. An emphasis should be placed on enjoying your body no matter what it looks like. The media has a lot of control over how women look at themselves, lets hope the curvy trend continues and skinny and not so skinny women can unite and start a new trend...JUST BEING YOU.

If you haven't met Reva Shayne yet, make an appointment for 3:00 (2:00 Central) on CBS and prepare to be dazzled.  She left Oklahoma for Springfield in the early eighties and none of us have ever been the same.  Ok, I know.  Some of you have already zoned out and/or are about to click away because you consider yourself "above" soaps.  Get over yourself and check her out.  She's married Josh (a.k.a. Bud) her lifelong soul-mate three times.  In her attempts to catch Josh, she's also married his brother Billy, and his dad H.B..  She's even snagged the local kajillionnaire extraordinaire, Alan Spaulding.

But her husbands aren't even the half of it.  What makes her a true heroine is her ability to take care of business with poise and chutzpah.  She has handled her children, her home, her television show, cancer, amnesia, death, cloning (yes, amnesia, death and cloning) all with a candor and courage.  She knows when to keep her mouth shut and when to blab it, when to save a desparate son, and when to kill an ailing ex-husband.  This is a chick we all should know and have in our corner. 

Don't get me started on the current storyline with Josh and Cassie.  Along with everyone else watching Guiding Light, I'm more than disconcerted with that one.  Honestly, though, it only highlights Kim Zimmer's flexibility as an actress.  She has certainly earned the Emmy and star status.  Who else could have made it through the decades of writers on this show?  Having to talk to Annie as a ghost?  Or thinking her name was Rebecca and living with the Amish?  What about keeping Dolly, her clone, alive in the pool house all those weeks?

Miracle of miracles, however, breaking entertainment news has it that Jonathan is returning to Springfield in '08.  How CBS lured Tom Pelphrey back to the show, I'll never know.  But he has all the makings of a star, and Guiding Light (along with his mum, Reva) is better for it.  Along with Jonathan's return, here are my wishes for Reva in '08:

• That Josh will snap out of this funk and leave Cassie
• That Mara and Shayne will return to shower their mother with the adoration she deserves
• That she does NOT go on a ridiculous fad diet and lose her curves 
  
• That she and Olivia can find peace  (They would make and unstoppable pair.)
• That she will keep her keen fashion sense  (I'm getting amazing ideas from her wardrobe!)
