Nick Hogan is suing the jail where he is housed because he believes he should not be held in solitary confinement (according to him). You may have heard that sometime last week Nick was complaining to his parents about how he does not get to do the things he wants to do. Uh you're in jail dude!! Nick complained about not having a window in his cell, his room being too small, not being able to play cards etc.



On Tuesday a judge denied Nick's request to be released from jail and placed on house arrest until the age of 18. He is serving an 8 month sentence remind you. O.k now it's time for me to vent! This is definitely a case of a spoiled Hollywood BRAT! I mean are you serious? Dude, you almost killed someone and you left him in a coma. He will never be the same again (will always be disabled). And you have the gaul to complain about not being able to "play cards?" I can go on, and on, but I'll stop there. His parents are the ones to be blamed for his ignorance of the whole situation. How do you guys feel about this? Should Nick be released or should he serve out his sentence?

Another Hollywood Arrest



Former child movie star Tatum O'Neil was arrested this past Sunday for buying cocaine, People Magazine reports. You may recall, Tatum won an Oscar for her role in Paper Moon. The former actress spent the night in jail and was charged with possession of a controlled substance. O'Neil tried to stop the cops by asking the detectives if they could just "forget about this". Uh Yea right Tatum!

Celebrity Baby News



So Pete and Ashlee recently confirmed  all the speculation that Ashlee was pregnant. The couple released this statement: "While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child." Ashlee's sister Jessica Simpson commented on her sister's pregnancy by telling People Magazine: "She'll be amazing, absolutely amazing," Awww, how cute.

 

In other baby news, Perez Hilton is reporting that former X-Files star Gillian Anderson is the latest Hollywood actress to be with child. Perez reports that  "Scully" is pregnant with her third child. The actress has a 2 year old son and a 13 year old daughter.

People Magazie is reporting that Disney Channel and That's So Raven star, Orlando Brown has been missing since early Tuesday morning. It is being reported that the actor left his manager's house at around 10:20 a.m to go to the local 7-Eleven, and has not been seen since. Oh My! His family and manager are asking anyone to contact Elayne Rivers at TLToonz@aol.com if they have any information regarding his whereabouts. I hope they find him...I will update this as it develops....

It's officially, official, yet the happy couple hasn't made it official yet..confused? Well I'm talking about the ever so secretive Beyonce and Jay Z.  The town clerk of Scarsdale Town Hall has confirmed that Jay and Beyonce are in fact married. He has their signed marriage license to prove it. Now if only they would come out with some details.



Sister Sister star Tia Mowry got married this past Sunday to actor Cory Hardrict (Can't say I've ever heard of him before) at the Four Seasons Resort the Baltimore Santa Barbara. Yay!



O.k so this isn't happy wedding news, but guess what former "View" co-host/t.v entertainment news star has filed for divorce from their husband of almost 4 years?? It's not Rosie (sorry I had to go there!) Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband Al Reynolds, saying: "Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts." And continuing:
"I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman." Sucks for her.



And in more non celebrity wedding news, Kanye West has apparently broken off his engagement to Alexis Phifer. Here's what she said: "It's been hard and not been an easy time. I tried to keep things private but yes, it's sad when things end like this and we truly do remain friends. I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met, that's for sure."

What famous movie star has his won was figure? It's Jackie Chan!!! TMZ is reporting that the kung-fu legend got his owned wax statue that was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in New York on Tuesday. The statue looks a little too waxy to me.

How many of you out there are Hanna Montana/Miley Cyrus fans? I know my 4 year old daughter loves her. Well it seems as though a few compromising photos of the child movie star has made their way onto the internet. I know that she is 15, and teenagers do "play around", but I'm thinking she needs to be a little more careful on what kinds of photos she takes. Even though the photos have surfaced, no comment has been made by Miley or her management team, and it's business as usual. Besides being a mini mogul, Miley is going to be one of the latest Hollywood actresses to pen her own autobiography. O.k she's 15, what exactly is she going to write about? Chapter one: how not to take "adult" type photos and have them posted on the internet. Hopefully there won't be anymore photos.

An arrest warrant has been issued for actor Shia LaBeouf.  It is being reported that the 21 year old actor was supposed to appear in court Tuesday morning, but he and his lawyer failed to appear. A $1000 bench warrant was issued. Hopefully he'll sort things out, he's one of the good ones!

People Magazine is reporting that the former child star and her husband Jason Goldberg, welcomed Jagger Joseph Blue Goldberg into their lives. Um, just so y'all know, it's a baby girl! I'm thinking they went a little overboard with the name.

In other baby news, actress Minnie Driver has recently announced her pregnancy.  What in the world is in the water in Hollywood? Note to self, when visiting Hollywood, never, ever drink the water! Anyway, the famous movie star announced her pregnancy on the Tonight Show last Thursday.

Yet another DUI..I'm not sure what it is with celebrities these days, but actor Thomas Jane ( the cutie from "The Punisher" movie") was busted early this morning (Monday). He had a blood alcohol level of .08%. Ah, why always the cute ones!

TMZ is reporting that the drummer from the Swedish group ABBA was found dead over the weekend. It is being reported that Ola Brunkert may have fallen through his glass door and cut his throat on a piece of the broken glass...Sad!

This past week Lindsey Lohan posed for a very revealing photo shoot by photographer Bert Stern  (New York Magazine). Lindsey did the same poses as her idol, Marilyn Monroe.


Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz are two of the latest Hollywood actress to get wax statues of themselves. The statues will be displayed at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum along with other top movie stars figures.

Perez Hilton is reporting that "Lord of the Rings" star Sean Bean, wed his long time girlfriend  Georgina Sutcliffe. The two were supposed to get married last month, but they canceled  24 hours before it was to happen.  (Uh huh!)

Yet another Hollywood divorce...TMZ is reporting that singer Pink and her biker husband Carey Heart have separated after two years of marriage...awww. Pink's rep said this, "Pink and Carey Hart have separated. This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger."  Uh, let's hope they remain friends (yea right!).

The cast of this years "Dancing With The Stars" has been revealed. The cast includes Adam Corolla, Jason Taylor of the Miami Dolphins, Priscilla  Presley and R&B singer Mario (I'm so rooting for him!). This should make for an interesting season.



The "Dog" is coming back! A&E has announced that it will be bringing back "Dog the Bounty Hunter" to t.v. You may remember that A&E suspended production on the series due to "Dog's" legal issues. No date has been announced on when they will begin shooting. Hey I'm just glad it's gonna be back to t.v..good show.

New Celebrity Hairstyles



Rihanna came out looking good last week debuting a brand new short hairstyle. It looks super cute. Following suit was Rod Stewart's daughter, Kimberly. Other changes in hairstyles were Amy Winehouse, who went from big black beehive to blonde, then back to big black beehive. Also, Ashlee Simpson went from blonde to red ( it actually looks good on her).

Here's a tip, instead of going all out (Lil Kim) why not just start with a new haircut or color? Just an idea!

As we know, the Screen Actors Guild Awards were this past Sunday and many of our top rated celebrities where there. So what were they wearing? Who had the hits and who was a miss? What's the newest trend in the world of celebrity hair and make-up? Well I'm here to answer all of your burning questions.

Best Dressed


This year the stars made a good impression with their fashion. Case in point,  T.V actress America Ferrera, who chose to show off her curves in a grey number by Monique Lhuillier. Angelina Jolie also looked great in a flowing patterned Hermes gown, that was simple. I'm not gonna lie, it did look a little tentish, but it was cute! (hiding something Angie?). Her date was this guy named Brad Pitt, who looked good in an all black suit with no tie. Christana Applegate sparkled in a georgeous  Elie Saab dress. Eva Longoria wore a white gown designed by Naeem Khan that plunged in the back...Fabulousness!

When you see what an actor or actress wears to an award, don't you just think to yourself that they need to fire who ever they are paying to dress them. Well that's what I thought when I saw a couple of these dresses.  Sandra  Oh (more like Sandra oh no!).   What  was she thinking  when  she wore a black and pink number with a huge bow..she decided to dress up like a half wrapped Christmas present that some one was trying to give back.  January Jones looked a hot mess in a hot pink gown designed by Armani. Tilda Swinton (the chick from The Chronicles of Narnia) in my opinion, looked like a spoon! She wore a pewter dress with a matching tuxedo jacket..WHAT?  You can see the rest of the mess here. I just can't go on with the madness. These people make way too much money to have a horrible fashion sense! Use your money for good people, for good fashion!!!!

Hair and Make-Up


It seemed that the "less is more" concept was the trend of the night. Hollywood actresses showed off a more natural look with light pink lips. They made up  their eyes with subtle colors. Hairstyles were also soft and elegant. Many sported pinned up hair styles. Eva Longoria, again sported this style, with a deep side part and curled locks. Young stars such as Amanda Bynes and Ashley Tisdale sported longer hair, but with loose curls. In short big night, great hair, great make-up.

The SAG Awards was a night of hits and misses as with any award show, can't wait to see what the Oscars have in store!

So it's a new day and new drama. I've been giving all of my attention to Britney lately and neglecting all the other celebrity news out there. SHAME.

Lights, Camera, Broadway!

American Idol Alum, Clay Aiken is set to star in the Tony Award winning Broadway play, "Spamalot". Clay will play the role of Sir Robin. Go Girl..I mean Boy!
So what's "Spamalot" anyway? well it's basically based on the comedy of Monty Python. In some other non Broadway entertainment news, Jenna Jameson has officially announced her retirement from her "business".  Aww, so sad, I'm sure she will be missed dearly my the male population.

The Non-Awards:

So we all know that the Golden Globes were a few days ago, but for those of you who missed all the action here's the rundown: No celebrities showed up due to the writers strike. So someone decided they would have the bright idea to put the show on anyway. Basically they asked all the t.v entertainment reporters to announce the winners. Thing is, they didn't even have an actual Golden Globe to kinda pretend to hold.  I'm the thinking that the genius who came up with this is now looking for a new job. I mean they should have just saved us all some time by airing reruns!

Christina finally speaks! Mrs. Aguilera has finally posted some info about her baby boy on her website.  Another star also  blogging about his baby is Joel Madden. He is basically in awe of his baby girl. Perez has the info, and it's too cute. In other baby news, in an exclusive interview with Larry Birkhead, ET is reporting that little Dannielynn is suffering from the medical condition strabismus (know to us as crossed eyes). Dannielynn has been wearing an eye patch and is taking medication to help correct the condition.

Britney News:

There really are no words to describe what happened yesterday. Britney took the advice of her lawyers and showed up to court. Thing is, she didn't get the memo that showing up actually meant going "into" the courtroom.  The craziness pulled up to the courthouse, got out of her car, and just when we thought she was going to go into the courtroom, she bolted. Britney high tailed it to her suv saying that she was "scared" and that she needed to leave.  After she left, she ended up stopping at a church and then getting a bite to eat. WHAT? I think that happy meal is missing a few French fries y'all.  And yes, she's lost all custody until the next hearing in February.


Get this, Life & Style is reporting that on Sunday she had a very interesting trip to the mall, which involved her being in the dressing room of a store for 45 minutes. Interesting! Comments welcome on this one.  It is beyond me why no one is even trying to help her.  Once again, where are her parents and her family? We're watching her self destruct right in front of our eyes and it's a very sad thing.

These celebrities have been the latest Hollywood buzz and the top breaking news of the day . They've had their names splashed all over the Tabloids, T.V, and Famous Internet Blogs.



These top celebrities are famous just for being famous. They are the source of entertainment for the public, as well as a lucrative investment for the paparazzi. A juicy photo of one of today's hottest Hollywood couples can earn a photographer thousands.  Likewise, a photo of the latest Hollywood actress doing something out of the ordinary could sky rocket a magazine's popularity as soon as it hits the shelves. Any news coming out of Hollywood these days is an opportunity for making money. 


HAIR TODAY, GONE TOMORROW

Celebrity news coverage seemed to hit a maximum in 2007. There were DUI's, pregnancies, famous weddings, numerous fashion and fragrance lines started by just about every top rated movie star out there.  Celebrities even made headlines in 2007 for their hairstyles and fashion. Britney Spears made the word weave popular by wearing a badly done example of one on her head.  British singer Amy Winehouse also became a household name because of her outrageous hairstyle and those ridiculous ballet slippers she seemed to wear EVERYWHERE.  Her photo's were plasterded all over the latest tabloids with headlines that eluded to her horrible fashion sense and just when was she going to go to rehab?

So is this the price to pay for being a celebrity? How can a famous movie star or celebrity hold on to some sense of privacy in their lives and still be famous?
Lets talk about stars like Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, Sean Penn, and Jennifer Connelly for instance, who we all know but are almost out of the puplic eye completely.  These stars try to live their lives as normal as they possibly can. They use thier resources to shield themselves and their families from the glare of the media and keep their names out of the latesr t.v entertainment headlines.


GILLIGAN'S ISLAND MAYBE?

Gilligan had his own island that was away from civilization, so why not today's celebs?


For many stars, a move out of the country is one way to get "some" privacy. Johnny Depp for example owns his own Private Island in the Bahamas called Little Halls Pond Cay. Some
other stars that have private islands of their own are: Mel Gibson, Nicholas Cage, Robin Williams, Julia Roberts and Steven Spielberg. He also resides with his wife Vanessa Paradis and their two children in France.  Depp is considered one of the biggest stars out there, yet he remains out of the spotlight. Just how does he do it? 


JUST BEING ME

To lead normal lives, a move out of the country isn't always necessary. Actress Jennifer Connelly is one example of just being the average person. Though she has been acting since she was a child (she was in the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie), Jennifer has continued to stay out of the tabloids.  She lives in New York with her husband, actor Paul Bettany and their two children. Besides being an actress, she has even dabbled in music (releasing a Japanese single "Monologue of Love" in the mid 1980's). She keeps herself busy and out of the headlines by doing the things that she loves, not the things that get her into magazines (click here to read more about her).  Contrary to her private lifestyle, she has just been named the new face of  the fashion line Balenciaga. 


So with stars like these that show that they can live somewhat normal lives without being in the media everyday and still be known and adored by fans, it makes me wonder do stars like Paris, Britney and Lindsey choose to make themselves victims of the latest Breaking Hollywood news. When hearing the name Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Tyra Banks, Scarlett Johanson, Sara Ramerez, Mariah Carey, Salma Hayek and Catherine Zeta-Jones what's the first thought that comes to mind? do you think of things like famous, beautiful, and well-rounded? well I do too but you know what words comes to my mind the most? CURVY, VOLOPTUOUS, HEALTHY...the list can go on and on.

With the holidays just ending most people now are focusing on the latest and quickest way to loose those holiday pounds that they may have put on.
Though I could write about the latest Hollywood weight loss fads and I'm sure I will eventually, I choose not to. I would like to pay homage to those ladies out there
who love the way their bodies look, and who are not the typical size zero.

Size Matters

Did you know that the average size for an American woman is a size 12, and not a size Zero like most people would like to believe (Victoria Beckham is a size zero).  Don't get me wrong, I'll be honest..I'm a size zero or one, and no I'm not unhealthy or emaciated. Though i'd love to be a larger size, having two kids has not helped in that department.  I think I've tried just about everything to actually GAIN weight, but due to my genetics (so I've been told) I've never weighed anything more than 120lbs.
I was told that for my height (five feet) that's actually quite normal...but I digress. I'm writing this piece to show everyone that you're beautiful just the way you are, whether you are a size 12 or 0, or any where in between.


From Past to Present




During the times of "old" Hollywood, actresses like Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelley, Ginger Rogers, Greta Garbo, Mae West, and Katherine Hepburn.  Graced the silverscreen with their presence. Many of these actresses were not the petite size we see today.





The latest Hollywood actress who dealt with the presure to be thin was the late B movie actress Anna Nicole Smith. A curvy actress who's battle with weight was often in the spotlight. Anna Nicole's weight at one point ballooned to 224lbs in 2002. Before her death she was the spokesperson for the weightloss company TripSpa, her weight ultimately went down to 140lbs. Personally I loved Anna pre TrimSpa. She looked an aweful lot like her idol Marilyn Monroe.


Standing Up to the Media

    


America Ferrera is a new actress who's made headlines for not just being on the t.v show "Ugly Betty", but for her weight. I don't gt it she's beautiful, she can act, what's the problem? Beyonce and Tyra Banks are two top rated celebrities who aren't afraid to show their bodies.  Beyonce and Tyra embrace their curvyness in order to show an example to young girls out there that haveing a little more meat on your bones is not all that bad. When an unflattering photo of Tyra was circulated on magazine covers all around the globe, she immediately confronted the media and went on her talk show to show the world that she was proud of her body. You go Tyra!


Enjoy Being You

In closing, I hope that 2008 can be a year of being healthy and looking your best. An emphasis should be placed on enjoying your body no matter what it looks like. The media has a lot of control over how women look at themselves, lets hope the curvy trend continues and skinny and not so skinny women can unite and start a new trend...JUST BEING YOU.

Tim Burton bought four pairs of biker boots for hollywood actress Helena Bonham Carter to celebrate the birth of their daughter.

The 49-year-old director bought every pair of lace-up boots in Helena's size from trendy shop Cop Copine, in north London's Hampstead area, to take to the hospital for his partner, who gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday night.

A source close to the couple told Britain's Daily Express newspaper, "Helena's not your typical diamonds girl so Tim thought she would appreciate a bit more thought and he knows how much she loves these black boots so he decided to buy her four pairs." (wetv.com)

Helena and Tim, who already have a four-year-old son Billy Ray, are famed for their oddball lifestyle, and live in separate wings of their London home.

The holiday season is upon us and it is a time for all of us to reflect on the year that has past and the new year that is fast approaching.  For many in the public eye, 2007 has been the year filled with DUI's, drugs, rehab, and misconduct.  Many top rated celebrities have had the book thrown at them due to numerous mishaps with the law.

Are stars really showing a good example to others out there? Are they taking their celebrity status for granted? Or are they just like the rest of us? It seems as though they are paying a huge price for fame.  Celebrities are human like the rest of us, and like us they make their fair share of mistakes. But I am beginning to wonder what mistake will make them learn.  It seems as though the breaking news of the day almost always involves alcohol.

Many of the DUI's and rehab stints we're hearing about is coming out of young Hollywood. Celebrities between the ages of 20 and 25, give or take a few years, are being popped for DUI's left and right.

Paris Hilton is one of the celebutant's who's name made the news headlines in 2007.  With a side-swept hairstyle, Paris posed for her mugshot. After being arrested for numerous violations, she was finally sentenced to 45 days in jail for a parole violation in which she served less time for good behavior (she was released on June 26, 2007).  Now, other than being famous for her fashion, partying lifestyle, and being a good source of entertainment. She's now famous for her time spent in                              jail.

Lindsey Lohan was also arrested, charged with DUI, and completed rehab. Her sentence stemmed from a July 24th DUI arrest in which she was sentenced to one day in jail and three years probation. She was also made to attend rehab where she remained until October.  The Hollywood actress has since cleaned up her act and has started filming a few new movies again.

Another young female celebrity who has recently completed a stint in rehab and who's name is on the lips of just about everyone these days is Britney Spears.
I am not going to go into detail about her.  We all know the history there: Rehab, the photo of her running around town without underwear, child custody battles, etc..but thankfully no arrests.

I see a pattern forming...

Are these celebrities just crying out for help? is it attention that they crave? I can only hope that 2008 will be a safe and happy year for celebrities as well as everyone else.

Here are a few tips to avoid becoming a victim of the effects of alcohol and drugs, and how to NOT be like your favorite movie star:

•     Make sure you have a designated driver!
•     Limit the amount of alcohol you consume!
•     Have fun in moderation (you're not as much fun when you're drunk)
•     Drugs..JUST DON'T DO THEM!

And last but not least...

HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE HOLIDAY SEASON

The former O.C. star, Mischa Barton, was pulled over at 2:46 a.m.  Her car was straddling two lanes of traffic and she failed to signal when making a turn.  According to a statement released for the L.A. county sheriffs department on Thursday, she was arrested for DUI and driving without a valid drivers license.  What is it with these celebrities thinking they can just drive willy nilly without a license!  The investigation is ongoing and I will keep you posted.

In other breaking celebrity news, Brenden Fraser and his wife of 9 years split.  Brenden announced through his publicist.  They hope to maintain a good friendship for the sake of their 3 kids. 

Paris Hilton's inheritance goes to charity!  Paris's grandfather Barron Hilton, has decided that 97 percent of his vast fortune, nearly $2.3 billion, will go to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, to help the homeless with housing, find safe water in developing countries and assist other good causes around the world.  That just makes me want to say HA HA!

Hollywood actress, Jessica Alba is engaged, publicist Brad Cafarelli confirmed.  She was spotted over Christmas with a big rock on her left finger.  Congrats to them!!


And lastly!
Amy Winehouse has been summoned to court in Norway.  This is stemming from an October arrest for marijuana possession.  Hopefully someone will think of feeding her in the near future because this girl looks sickly!
