Hey guys, sorry for the delay in my celebrity news coverage. While I and others were reeling from the recent loss of Bernie Mac this past Saturday, Hollywood was hit yet again with another death. This time we lost music legend Isaac Hayes. Hayes was found dead at his home on Sunday, August 11. A family member said that the body of Hayes was found lying next to a treadmill. He was rushed to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis where he was pronunced dead. The cause of his death is not yet known, but doctors say it may have been from natural causes. The famous star and musician is best remembered for singing the theme song for the movie "Shaft." RIP!

Hey guys, here's some breaking entertainment news, that I am very sad to report.
 
Actor and comedian Bernie Mac, best know for his roles in "The Bernie Mac Show", "Ocean's Eleven," and most recently "The Transformers" has passed away. The famous movie star died from complications due to pneumonia after being hospitalized at a Chicago-area hospital on Saturday. News of his death was given to the media by his publicist Danica Smith. Today is truly a sad day for me and others as well. He was a very famous star and an overwhelmingly talented comic as well. RIP Mr. Mac.

So recently there was a lot of celebrity news coverage on a couple of big name movie stars such as Brad and Angelina who gave birth to some adorable little tykes. Well I decided that I would have a little gift giving session for the babies, Celebrity Style!!

So where does a famous movie star shop for baby gifts? Unlike the rest of us, you won't see them hanging around the Wal Mart or Target baby registry. Ok maybe there is one exception...Jamie Lynn is that you walking down the baby food and diaper isle at Wal Mart? Just kidding. I can't get enough of Wally World myself. 3. Disney - Newborn Girls Winnie the Pooh 24-piece Gift Set: $46.96.

So, this was all done in the name of fun, but I can't help but say that I can't see myself really paying that much for baby items! I understand that celebrities have the money and blah, blah, blah, but geez....almost $4000 for a darn crib! I'm with you and Wal Mart all the way Jamie Lynn. Tell me, if you had the money would you pay that much for baby gifts? I'm waiting to hear your thoughts.

Everyone's favorite mom and top movie star Angelina Jolie has checked herself into a hospital in France. She and hubby Brad are awaiting the birth of their twins, the Associated Press reports. The couple's publicist said in a statement that the star's admittance into the hospital was planned for a long time. Stay tuned for more as this story changes.

Brad and Angelina finally had their twins!! On July 12, the happy couple celebrated the birth of their twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon ( a girl and a boy).  You all know that the gossip magazines are all foaming at the mouth for a chance at exclusive photos of these future child movie stars/heart breakers. I will be sure to add pictures of the kids when they become available.

In other baby news, Pro skater Tony Hawk and his wife had a baby girl on Monday. This is the first child for Lhotse but the fourth for Hawk who has three sons from a previous relationship.

It's almost a go. Perez Hilton is reporting that Shannen Doherty is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming 90210 t.v show. It will be very interesting to see if she does join. Can we say DRAMA!!

Rapper Kanye West has confirmed that he and designer Louis Vuitton will be doing a shoe line together. Kanye does have an interesting sense of style, I can't wait to see what his footwear will look like.

Nick Hogan is suing the jail where he is housed because he believes he should not be held in solitary confinement (according to him). You may have heard that sometime last week Nick was complaining to his parents about how he does not get to do the things he wants to do. Uh you're in jail dude!! Nick complained about not having a window in his cell, his room being too small, not being able to play cards etc.



On Tuesday a judge denied Nick's request to be released from jail and placed on house arrest until the age of 18. He is serving an 8 month sentence remind you. O.k now it's time for me to vent! This is definitely a case of a spoiled Hollywood BRAT! I mean are you serious? Dude, you almost killed someone and you left him in a coma. He will never be the same again (will always be disabled). And you have the gaul to complain about not being able to "play cards?" I can go on, and on, but I'll stop there. His parents are the ones to be blamed for his ignorance of the whole situation. How do you guys feel about this? Should Nick be released or should he serve out his sentence?

Another Hollywood Arrest



Former child movie star Tatum O'Neil was arrested this past Sunday for buying cocaine, People Magazine reports. You may recall, Tatum won an Oscar for her role in Paper Moon. The former actress spent the night in jail and was charged with possession of a controlled substance. O'Neil tried to stop the cops by asking the detectives if they could just "forget about this". Uh Yea right Tatum!

Celebrity Baby News



So Pete and Ashlee recently confirmed  all the speculation that Ashlee was pregnant. The couple released this statement: "While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child." Ashlee's sister Jessica Simpson commented on her sister's pregnancy by telling People Magazine: "She'll be amazing, absolutely amazing," Awww, how cute.

 

In other baby news, Perez Hilton is reporting that former X-Files star Gillian Anderson is the latest Hollywood actress to be with child. Perez reports that  "Scully" is pregnant with her third child. The actress has a 2 year old son and a 13 year old daughter.

Hollywood Celebrity Weddings



Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson tied the knot during a weekend ceremony on May 17, exchanging vows in front of 150 close friends and family. Ashlee wore an ivory gown by Monique Lhuillier and Pete wore a regular black tux ( do we really care what he wore? I mean really?). Of course the two gave People Magazine an exclusive on their wedding pictures.



So who's the latest actress to get married? ..much to the surprise to just about everyone, including me.  Jessica Alba's rep confirmed to People Magazine that the famous movie star and her baby daddy Cash Warren were married in a private ceremony on Wednesday. Good for her! I give it..One year. I'm being generous.



The biggest and probably the most controversial wedding news comes from Ellen DeGeneres. The talk show queen and announced on her show last Thursday that she and long time girlfriend Portia DeRossi will be getting married on the heels of California's new law allowing gay marriage. Of course as usual there are haters!  Ellen recently had senator McCain on her show and of course he disagrees on the idea of gay marriage. I say everyone has a right to their own opinions!



Another homosexual star taking advantage of being able to get married is former Star Trek actor George Takei. Yea i know, who knew! He and long time partner Brad Altman will be joining DeG eneres and countless others in same sex marriage ceremonies in California. Go Girl!



In engagement news, top movie star and Hollywood icon Robert Redford and his longtime girlfriend German artist, Sibylle Szaggars are engaged to be married. No word yet on when the nuptials will be.

And the winner is....through a landslide victory (20 million votes), David Cook won American Idol 2008, beating out his younger competitor David Archuleta. When asked about where he thinks his career will go, the soon to be star told People Magazine that he had "no expectations." He's definitely humble, let's see how long it lasts!



In other Idol news, former idol contestant Bo Bice and his wife Caroline are expecting a baby boy.

The Queen of talk show land, Oprah Winfrey has announced that she will be trying a new diet plan. Winfrey has announced that she will be going vegan for 21 days straight. She got the idea to do the diet after reading Kathy Freston's book Quantum Wellness.

Hey guys, here's a bit of movie star news...


It was confirmed on Wednesday that Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are engaged! There's no word on when this latest celebrity wedding will take place, but Scarlett's publicist says "They're both thrilled." The two have been together for a little over a year.


O.k so I haven't said much about Britney lately, but here's some news. Britney got some good news at her custody hearing on Tuesday. The mother of two will get more time with her boys.  Three days of supervised visitation per week to to exact. Because of Britney's recent changes,  and progress, her rights were extended. Great job Brit!

O.k so I'm not a gambling woman, but how many of you out there would like to place a little wager on the length of time Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon will stay married.



Here's the stats on this latest Hollywood celebrity wedding:

• The two apparently have been together a little under two months.

• They were married, on a Caribbean island in an impromptu wedding (yet to be, confirmed by the two.)

• This is Mariah's second wedding, and the first for Nick (he was engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks, but broke off the engagement. It seems that the ring he once gave to Selita is now on Mariah's finger...Wow!

So what do you guys think? In my opinion I don't see this lasting at all! Can you say publicity stunt? A non-famous movie/t.v star marries a famous singer/actress only after two months of happiness. Let's see,... how many top movie stars in Hollywood have gotten married after a couple months of knowing someone and gotten a divorce soon after? The list goes on and on. Some out there may disagree..but here's my wager: I GIVE IT ANOTHER MONTH!

Last week there was some very interesting breaking entertainment news coming to come out of Hollywood, and overseas. One top movie star and a very, very famous singer (not Britney Spears) got into a bit of legal trouble. There was a headbutt in a bar and a tax evasion case that was celebrity news coverage du jour. Can you guess who the two famous stars are?

Lets start with suspect #1


Amy Winehouse was arrested last week by UK authorities on suspicion of assault. The singer spent the weekend in Jail for allegedly head butting a bar patron. In the words of Flavor-Flav...WahoooW! Here's where her luck comes in though. In the UK the sentence for simple assault is 6 months in prison! Winehouse walked away from this free as a bird...., a violent, drug abusing bird! Love her music though.

Suspect #2, get out of jail free card....not so much!

While Whinehouse sings a happy tune (literally), one famous movie star won't be singing any tunes or acting in any movies for a long time...2.5 years to be exact. Actor Wesley Snipes was convicted of tax evasion last week. Snipes apparently neglected to pay Uncle Sam $2.7 million. Huh? Come on Wesley, it's only $2.7 million, it's not like you have to pay $3 million! I bet you next time he'll be paying his taxes ON TIME! Here's what the judge had to say about the stars sentence:

 "Snipes' long prison sentence should send a loud and crystal clear message to all tax defiers that if they engage in similar tax defier conduct, they face joining him and his co-defendants ... as inmates in prison."
 
Better watch out tax defier's!!! Uncle Sam is watching you!

I'm kidding, but seriously, didn't that scare you guys just a little bit? I know I'm not gonna complain about paying any kind of taxes anymore. Even though his pal Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson wrote letters in his defense, Wesley still got the book thrown at him. OUCH!

It is being reported that the actor left his manager's house at around 10:20 a.m to go to the local 7-Eleven, and has not been seen since. Oh My! I hope they find him...I will update this as it develops....

It's officially, official, yet the happy couple hasn't made it official yet..confused? Well I'm talking about the ever so secretive Beyonce and Jay Z.  The town clerk of Scarsdale Town Hall has confirmed that Jay and Beyonce are in fact married. He has their signed marriage license to prove it. Now if only they would come out with some details.



Sister Sister star Tia Mowry got married this past Sunday to actor Cory Hardrict (Can't say I've ever heard of him before) at the Four Seasons Resort the Baltimore Santa Barbara. Yay!



O.k so this isn't happy wedding news, but guess what former "View" co-host/t.v entertainment news star has filed for divorce from their husband of almost 4 years?? It's not Rosie (sorry I had to go there!) Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband Al Reynolds, saying: "Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts." And continuing:
"I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman." Sucks for her.



And in more non celebrity wedding news, Kanye West has apparently broken off his engagement to Alexis Phifer. Here's what she said: "It's been hard and not been an easy time. I tried to keep things private but yes, it's sad when things end like this and we truly do remain friends. I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met, that's for sure."

Well it seems as though a few compromising photos of the child movie star has made their way onto the internet. I know that she is 15, and teenagers do "play around", but I'm thinking she needs to be a little more careful on what kinds of photos she takes. Even though the photos have surfaced, no comment has been made by Miley or her management team, and it's business as usual. Cameron Diaz released a statement on Wednesday after the sudden death of her father Emilio. Emelio Diaz, who was only 58, died from pneumonia on Tuesday. The top movie star, who is currently filming a new movie was understandably absent from the set. How sad, he was only 58.




So they announced the engagement news, now Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson has to officially announce the pregnancy rumors that have been confirmed by People Magazine. The magazine quotes a source close to the couple as saying that Ashlee is indeed preggers and that she and Pete are planning on getting married as early as May! Can't wait to see this Hollywood celebrity wedding! I wonder if her dad is going to try to sell photo's of the star for huge amounts of money?
On another note,  I mean the rumors are great and all, but dang, these so called friends (I'm sure it was her dad) never give celebrities time to say it themselves. Oh well, more gossip for us!

People Magazine is reporting that the former child star and her husband Jason Goldberg, welcomed Jagger Joseph Blue Goldberg into their lives. Um, just so y'all know, it's a baby girl! TMZ is reporting that the drummer from the Swedish group ABBA was found dead over the weekend. It is being reported that Ola Brunkert may have fallen through his glass door and cut his throat on a piece of the broken glass...Sad!

Yay!..Well the former crazy lady is doing great these days, so much so that on Monday a judge decided to grant her access to a credit card that has a $1500 a week limit so she can buy whatever she wants. Um crazy or not, how much do you want to be Britney right now?? I'd love to have a credit card with a $1500 a week limit on it!



I'm sure everyone has heard of Joe Francis right? You haven't? O.k what about Girls Gone Wild? Ah, there you go! Well Mr. Girls Gone Wild was released from a Las Vegas Jail on Monday. He's currently on his way back to Florida to face more criminal charges, for a charge of filming underage girls in that state. Sucks to be him!



Another Celebrity break down...So This past weekend the breaking entertainment news du jour was that Heather Locklear tried to commit suicide. Here's the deal, Heather's shrink spoke to her on Saturday and she sounded all depressed. The shrink freaked out and thought that she might overdose on her meds so she decided to call 911. The call was listed as a "suicide attempt," but when the paramedics arrived Heather was fine....False Alarm!

It's basically another American Idol type show.  Instead of having regular folks like ourselves battle it out for the top spot, get this, they are having the children of celebrities such as Bobby Brown, Olivia Newton-John, and MC Hammer compete against each other to see who's the best singer. This is going to be hilarious!

There's some baby rumors going around...the New York Post's Page Six is reporting that Kimora Lee Simmons and boyfriend, actor Djimon Hounsou are expecting a baby. This would make baby number three for Kimora.

Hey guys, sad news to report for all the Dirty Dancing/Ghost/Patrick Swayze fans out there...This was released by the actor's publicist today:
"Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick's physician Dr. George Fisher states, 'Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family."
Let's pray that he gets well.  Patrick is one of the top movie stars that I absolutely looove! Dirty Dancing was one of my favorite movies and still is (No one puts baby in the corner!!) Love it!.
